The Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), enacted in 1993, requires employers to provide eligible employees with 12 weeks of unpaid leave to care for family emergencies or personal health issues, including addiction recovery and mental health treatment. Our recovery programs work with clients and their employers to facilitate rehabilitation while protecting their job status. We help clients connect to ILWU SCDC addiction services.
