Someone
you know has a problem with alcohol, drugs, gambling . . . or maybe an eating
disorder. They may be hiding the problem. Or denying that it exists. But you can
see it. And feel it. In fact, sometimes it feels like you're the only one
suffering because of it. Alcohol,
Drugs and other behavioral problems can destroy families and end careers. Family
members, employees, colleagues and company executives can find themselves
trapped by such disorders. Their denial of the problem and ambivalence about
treatment blurs their reality. Many people in these situations refuse help from
loved ones, friends, or co-workers. This is where intervention can be useful.
You
don't have to feel alone any longer. You can get help through a process
called intervention, which brings family, friends, co-workers and other
supporters together with a skilled, professional facilitator to confront the
addicted person in an honest and supportive way. Intervention is the process of
presenting reality to such individuals in a receivable way. It is an invitation
-- not a confrontation -- to accept help. When an intervention is done
correctly, it can convince these people to finally seek help.
At
New Found Life, we work with the families and individuals needing help to get
treatment. However, there are times when an intervention may be
necessary. The following are Intervention Specialists that can help.
The Interventionists listed below are provided for your information only.
